Noted for his performances as a soloist as well in small chamber ensembles, notably in a trio with Alfred Cortot and Pablo Casals. Has also toured with Yves Nat and George Enescu. Had 2nd Sonata For Solo Violin written especially for him by close friend Eugène Ysaÿe. Thibaud, his daughter-in-law, and pianist René Herbin were killed in the 1953 Air France Flight 178 plane crash ~ Thibaud passed away in 1953
